Glimmers

Recent conversations with another artist have been helpful and motivating. It breaks the isolation. Just being able to talk about what gets in the way has been very healing. It is easy to end up feeling alone with it. But so good to share.

Glimmers: a good word Steve, I like that you choose this word to describe our exchange. It was really positive to discuss the space that prevents us from making, the gap that one feels should be for art-making. It doesn't work that way and to feel lonely when making is horrible. Glad that you realise that you don't need to be working next to another artist to be working beside them. Reach for what makes you shine, let the gimmers explode x

When I started blogging, having moved to a fiber-free part of the world (relatively speaking), I worried that blogging would take time away from my weaving. Well, it has, but it has added so much to my experience of weaving that my weaving is far better than it would be if I didn't take the time to blog.
